They met by chance. Two independent, quiet people looking for something a bit more to fulfill their hearts. Two people, skeptically taking a chance on an online dating format. It started off small. Talking about day to day things. A sentence or two grew into paragraphs, and then into actually meeting. And who could have guessed that their homes were only blocks from each other? Who could have guessed that he could have such a way of making her laugh?
Carrie and Steve decided to do a “First Look”. I love, love, love when couples decide to do this, for several reasons. If you missed my post before about the value of a First Look, read HERE as to why. And some of their favorite parts of the day included the “First Look”. The anticipation and excitement of waiting to see Carrie before their first look was a favorite for Steve. And Carrie agreed on this being a favorite for her as well, saying she loved having time alone together before everything began.
Steve’s Dad and Mom made the monogram above. Part of their wedding now, and part of their home afterward.
They each bring a son into their newly merged family. Jackson, a ham for the camera, and Noah, who is a bit older and an observer. The boys are over five years apart in age, but call each other brother and enjoy playing video games, Nerf war, and shooting hoops together.
Smiles all day long!
Brides work so hard to make all the details perfect, and Carrie was no exception. So, I think it’s important to capture the little things that add up to make a great wedding celebration. The work above was done by JaxDesigns (see below).
They got ideas for the ceremony script online but Steve put it altogether and it turned out just perfect. Judge Dolehanty put his own spin on it and it felt very personal and as Carrie said, “very us.”
“At the core we are very similar but beyond that we couldn’t be more opposite. We both love music, and occasionally go to concerts but have very different tastes in who we want to hear. So, we rotate”, said Carrie. Seems that might be their secret to a happy marriage.
Carrie and Steve, I was so honored to be a part of an incredible day!
